Swatches palette
- If you've just created and synchronized a palette for the first time, quit and relaunch InDesign.
- Go to Window > Swatches, to reveal the Swatch palette.
- Go to that palette's fly-out menu, and select “New Color Swatch.”
- In the New Color Swatch dialog, click the “Color Mode” dropdown and select the palette name from the list.

Instead of restarting InDesign®, when creating and synchronizing palettes for the first time, you may manually load them by following these steps:
- Go to Window > Swatches, to reveal the Swatch palette.
- Go to that palette's fly-out menu, and select “Load Swatches . . . "
- Browse to the Adobe® InDesign®/Presets/Swatch Libraries folder, select the palette file and click OK.
